yes, you can browse into the controlnet network using ethernet, but of course you will need to use the rsnetworx for controlnet to browse and upload from the controlnet network. I have been told that RSNetworx will find all nodes provided that the ControlNet cables are complete. I have my doubt about it being that simple.
